Better Belly Butter began as a smattering of various household ingredients to make a body cream to moisturize our skin.
When I, Dr. Dorian Holmes finally became pregnant at the age of 37, my greatest fear other than becoming responsible for rearing a tiny human was whether I would inherit my mother's stretch marks.
To redirect my focus, my husband said, "Why don't you reformulate our current homemade moisturizer and use it on your belly as it grows."
With nothing to lose, I pulled from my knowledge and experience as a Naturopathic Doctor to research and develop what eventually became today's Better Belly Butter.
